Tomorrow it begins!

Well it's finally here!!! Tomorrow I get dropped off at the southern terminus and start hiking to Canada. I spent the last two weeks getting my resupplys packed and then my friends Johnathan and Shiloh hung with me and we went to the Warner Bros Studios, the beach, and did a Zombie escape room experience. I'll post pics below and a video I made of us driving to Lake Morena. We're spending the night there tonight and my friend will drop me off in that morning.

  1. Eeee! I'm planning this trip someday. I'm scared to because I'm overweight but strong, but 15 miles a day is way more than I could do. I think. I'm following you!!

    1. If you start the pct, eventually 15 miles will become a short day, even if you can barely do 5 the first day.

  7. I may be working on the trail in SoCal about the day you get to my area. If you can tell me what your favorite meal would be, I bring it to you near Anza.

  12. You should be close or at Warner Springs now---first landmark check off. Next big one--Idyllwild. Don't let them scare you about Fuller Ridge after Idyllwild. Everyone got through fine regardless of the hype about the snow.

  13. Hey chica, last year I hiked the PCT and was hoping to meet you at one point on the trail. But a lasting ligament injury stopped me from hiking by Bishop! I would really like to know more about you and your adventure on the trail. My trail name is Butterfly and my husband is Real Deal. We might have even met and didn't know it. Our start date was on April 16th. Hope to hear back from you. Happy trails!

    1. I only ended up doing a week lol... I'm planning on trying again but with a partner. The pull of family and home was too great that when I took a break I didn't go back. But the trail is in my blood and I want to go again
